New Pics

Just wanted to add a few new pics! Not much going on here in Westerville with the Browns.....just running the business and looking forward to a nice fourth of July weekend! Hope you all are doing well and hope everyone enjoys their holiday! We had a great visit with Frankie and Keith two weekends ago....they were nice enough to come all the way from VA to see us and to paint our house for us! Looks great! Almost like it was done by professionals:) Anyway we really appreciate their help and we finally said goodbye to the pink house.
Here are new pics of Olan Ross! He is getting so big we can hardly believe it! He is a little over 7 lbs now, about the same size his girlfriend Laila is predicted to be:) Guess we will see! Mom and Dad are doing well....Emily starts back to work next Tuesday so looks like next Monday will be my last outing with my godson and my girlfriend :(

New pic of me and Laila......29 weeks! This week is 30 weeks.....we are in the home stretch!! YAY! What you cannot see in this pic are my feet which are the size of Texas:)

Actually I have been taking water aerobics 3 times a week and that seems to be helping in that area.

Some pics of Laila's room.....this is our next house project. Finishing her room ( crown molding and baseboards, closet doors, and some miscellaneous projects). She was lucky enough to get a very cute painting from her Aunt Emily for her room and a really beautiful piece of artwork from Rob and Leigh Ann that will be perfect next to her crib!

Once its all done i will send out pics.

Also.....we are looking forward to celebrating Jason's 35th birthday July 14!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE BIG 35! We are keeping it low key this year.....spending the day down in hocking hills and dinner....it will be a nice time for him hopefully! I saw something on Oprah yesterday where she was talking about Tom Hanks and they described him as the guy you always want to end up sitting with at an event.....b.c. he is a "man's man" but at the same time he can strike up a conversation and tell a story like a woman. Well rounded :) I thought that was a great way to describe my husband as well! Be sure to e mail or call him and wish him a happy 35th!

Pic of me and Laila.....26 weeks and counting!

Bathroom renovation project

Hey there! Just wanted to send everyone a preview of our latest project! ( or I should really say Jason's latest project). He gets full credit on this one it was not the most pleasant thing to work on but the outcome is beautiful! He now knows how to install a toilet with the best of 'em. For those that have been over before and can remember our old bathroom from 1958 this is a big step up:)

moving on to the next room.........

Meza Opening Party! - 4/11/08

We wanted to thank all of our family members and friends that were able to be there for our Meza opening party! The store opening process was strenuous to say the least but we are finally there and ready to get into business! We did about $1,000 in sales the first night which was wonderful!!! Hopefully we will be doing our grand opening event next week for the public to capitalize on the great weather we are finally having.

Thanks again to everyone who came to the party and to Marie and Judy for being there on our opening day!!

Here are come pics!!! Enjoy!

Meza....the opening party!

So some exciting news in the Brown household! This week is the opening party for Meza as well as the week we find out the sex of our baby! We are spending the weekend in a fury trying to get a million things done at the store. Over all it is looking more and more like a real store each day.....with much help from my uncle and his team who work for Teemok construction in Columbus. We are anticipating 30+ people at the party and we are hoping that when it opens the following Tuesday it will be a sucess! Once we get the doors open then the work really starts of advertising and continuing to evolve with our inventory and displays. We are hoping to get the website up by June and then focus on phase two.....Vino Meza! Trust me by November....not only will Westerville be ready for a wine shop, but I will be more than ready for some wine tasting:)!

Here are some pics to start with as progress pics.....then we will update you with the finals once it is all done! We are really excited about this new venture.....and from the help we have recieved and Jason and I working on it together so closely it is really a "family business" which is exactly what we were hoping it would be.

First Easter

We had a very sucessful and busy first Easter at home! This is officially the holiday that we get to host each year.....my parents will get Christmas and the Paynes will get Thanksgiving! We spent most of the time working up at the shop....we took a trip to Ikea and got most of the shelving and pieces for the store and then while Jason and my dad worked on that, I cooked up my first Easter meal! Here are some pics.....the menu was pretty extensive. Several "meza" dishes, homeade soup, lamb, green beans sauteed with pancetta, stuffed grape leaves, roasted potatoes, salad, and two cakes! It was a nice day and we really appreciated having my parents here to help us out with the set up of the shop. Stay tuned because those pics will be coming soon!!!
